'Welcome to the Ballroom' Episode 17 Spoilers: Are Tatara and Chinatsu Done for Good?
Tatara and Chinatsu are entering the Tokyo Metropolitan Dancesport Tournament; or so, that's what their new dance coach, Marisa, plans for them to do. However, after what could've been their most serious argument yet, will the couple still be able to make up in time for the competition on the Japanese anime series, "Welcome to the Ballroom"?
Coach Marisa seemed to have made it her mission to teach Tatara to take the lead with some tough love. With only two weeks left to rehearse and set their issues straight, Marisa has told Tatara and Chinatsu that they were to compete in the upcoming Tokyo Metropolitan Dancesport Tournament.
Although Tatara and Chinatsu ended up withdrawing from the Grand Prix in Shizuoka, their performance had proven that they could already compete in an A-class match. However, there were still a lot of problems that the couple needed to address before the competition. One is the fact that they would be dancing against the accomplished Kugimiya, notwithstanding.
In the end, the pressure of their differing energies, balance, and tempo brought Tatara and Chinatsu's stress levels to its limits, which was the outcome that Marisa was aiming for. Chinatsu ended up walking out on Tatara, seemingly giving up on their partnership, despite Tatara's plea for his partner to rely on him.
The preview for the next episode titled "Performer" does not show a possible reconciliation between the two. However, it seems that Tatara will be getting valuable advice from his fellow ballroom performers on how to better deal with their current situation.
Will Tatara ever be able to convince his dance partner that she can rely on him, while also proving that he can do good on his words? Or has their partnership really just ended for good?
"Welcome to the Ballroom" airs on Sundays at 11:30 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX. Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources can be found on the series' official site. Episodes are also available for regions outside Japan via Amazon Prime's Anime Strike service.
