'Westworld 2' Spoilers: Cast Tease Suprising New Season
"Westworld" star Evan Rachel Wood, who will reprise her role as Dolores Abernathy in the second season of HBO's science fiction thriller admits that her work can be demanding but loves every moment of it.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the 2017 Emmys in Los Angeles, the 30-year-old actress admitted that she worked until 3 in the morning just a few nights back, confessing that she is still in a "dream space" because of it.
The pilot season of "Westworld" was the most nominated show at this year's Emmys. If the show received quite the attention then, its second season should receive just as much perhaps even more because according to Wood, the forthcoming installment is twice ambitious as the first one.
"I didn't think the show could shock me and it continues to do so," she said about the second season. "It's going to be everything and more."
When asked about season 2, Tessa Thompson, who portrays Charlotte Hale, teased that women are going to be the central figures in the park.
"It really is a season where I think women are king," Thompson told Elle in an interview.
According to the actress, viewers will see women getting a taste of revenge. Thandie Newton's character, for instance, one of the women in the brothel who has been set up to be used whenever people want her will have a serious turnaround. Next time she will have anyone she wants.
In additional to girl power in "Westworld," the upcoming season marks creator Lisa Joy's directorial debut. She directed the fourth episode of the season which her co-creator and husband Jonathan Nolan wrote as a tribute to one of the staff writers. Nolan said that Joy turned a placid episode into a bloodbath.
"Westworld" season 2 is slated to premiere in the Spring of 2018.
