What fans need to know about the 'Suicide Squad' movie in 2016
Superhero fanatics will be treated with "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" in March, where four of the Justice League members will sashay to the wide screen. However, fans of DC villains will also get their chance to see their favorite characters since DC will also showcase some of its notorious supervillains in the "Suicide Squad."
According to Cinema Blend, Suicide Squad will follow the story of DC's major villains that have been imprisoned by the U.S. government, and are forced to take on dangerous missions, in order to gain amnesty. If their mission succeeds, they'll get their sentence reduced, and live to fight again for another day. The Suicide Squad cannot escape nor cause any troubles, since they are implanted with micro bombs that are set to detonate if they try to get away.
No official confirmation yet has been given to confirm what missions the team will do, but few critical information has been released to the public recently.
According to Heroic Hollywood, the Suicide Squad's main goal in the movie is to stop The Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), who is out to destroy the world. This is contrary to old rumors saying that it is The Joker (Jared Leto), who is the main villain in the movie.
The report said that The Enchantress is in the hunt for her brother, who is already dead, and plans to resurrect him. In the 2015 Suicide Squad Comic-Con trailer video, fans saw the group together, with the exception of The Enchantress. Delevingne was also seen creeping around some caverns, which suggested that she didn't join the "squad," and fans are speculating that this what might be the film's major story line.
The Suicide Squad consists of Deadshot (Will Smith), The Joker, Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Amanda Walker (Viola Davis), Killer Croc (Adawale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Katana (Karen Fukuhara), El Diablo (Jay Hernandez), and Slipknot (Adam Beach).
The film will be released on Aug. 5, 2016,
