iPhone 7 Release Expected 2015; What New Features We Want to See
It's only been a few weeks since the announcement and the release of the iPhone 6 and people are already on the lookout for news about Apple's next flagship, the iPhone 7. While it is unlikely that there would be details on the iPhone 7 out on the airwaves for a year or so, there are already thoughts on what features would make the iPhone 7 a better phone.
Apple has stuck with the Corning Gorilla Glass with their iPhones and iPads for some time now, and now that they've used Sapphire Glass for the Apple Watch and the covering for the iPhone 6's camera, seeing it on the iPhone 7 wouldn't be surprising. Sapphire Glass is stronger and more scratch resistant than the Gorilla Glass and it's already being used on Motorola's Moto 360 smartwatch.
The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus did get larger screens but their resolutions didn't quite matchup with today's market standards. Samsung is already delving into the QHD (2560 x 1440) screen resolutions after LG's G3 smartphone made its debut and it would make sense for Apple to make the same move into higher resolutions as well.

Better battery life would also be a welcome offering for new phones but seeing as how power-hungry smartphones are today, people would just be happy with phone batteries lasting for a day. A replaceable battery pack would also make a good change but it is unlikely seeing Apple's design.
As for storage, one thing that consumers noticed with the iPhone 6 was the lack of a 32GB storage option. The option jumped from 16GB to 64GB, prompting users to choose from either without having the choice for anything in-between. Also, while a microSD slot would be a welcome change for the iPhone, it is also unlikely seeing as how Apple has already gone six generations without an expandable memory feature.
