'Words cannot convey the sorrow': All 14 people killed in New Orleans terrorist attack identified
Matthew Tenedorio
The parents of 25-year-old audiovisual technician Matthew Tenedorio said the last time they saw their son alive was at dinner on New Year's Eve before he went to Bourbon Street with friends. According to Tenedorio’s parents, their son worked as a fiber optics and video professional at the Superdome and Smoothie King Center.
Louis and Cathy Tenedorio confirmed to ABC News that their son was among the victims of the terror attack. The young man’s mother described her son as the "life of the room,” saying that she will miss “everything” now that he’s gone.
“His beautiful face, laugh,” 'I love you mom.' You know, he was just a wonderful son."
In a Thursday statement, the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans expressed condolences to the Tenedorio family, describing him as a valued member of the video production team who had a bright future.
“Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest condolences are with the Tenedorio family and everyone affected by this senseless act of terrorism,” the victim’s former employer wrote. “Together, as a city, state and region, we will come back stronger from this tragedy.”
