Abortion, parental rights, trans issues: What would a Kamala Harris victory look like?
Israel
According to her campaign website, “Vice President Harris will always stand up for Israel’s right to defend itself and she will ensure Israel always has the ability to defend itself.” Following the terrorist attacks on Oct. 7, 2023, Israel has been determined to eradicate Hamas in Gaza.
The terror attacks have set off a period of prolonged conflict in Israel, Gaza and Lebanon. Like Trump, Harris believes that the “war must end.” At a debate with Trump last month, Harris insisted that “the way that it will end is we need a cease-fire deal and we need the hostages out.”
Harris also expressed support for a two-state solution on the debate stage. She outlined her vision as one where “we can rebuild Gaza, where the Palestinians have security, self-determination and the dignity they so rightly deserve.”
While Harris has repeatedly proclaimed support for Israel, she invited criticism for declining to attend a speech Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave to Congress over the summer. Trump brought this up during the debate, citing her behavior as evidence that “she hates Israel.”
