Whitney Houston Tribute: Usher, Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson to Perform
Various celebrities are teaming up to pay tribute to the late Whitney Houston in an upcoming 1-hour TV special to be taped on Oct. 11 and aired on Nov. 16.
"We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute to Whitney Houston" will be recorded live in coming weeks at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. Fans can expect to see special performances from Grammy award winning singers Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson and Usher, among others.
The televised tribute will also include Houston's "most memorable performances" and interviews with various artists, according to Grammy.com.

Houston, who won six Grammys and two Emmy awards, died at age 48 on Feb. 11 after using prescription drugs and drowning in the bathtub of her hotel room. Her untimely death was later ruled an accident.
The 54th Annual Grammy Awards, which was held just one day after Houston's death, had a tribute dedicated to Houston, who was considered among the music industry's greatest talents.
Jennifer Hudson, 31, took to stage where she gave a powerful rendition of Houston's classic "I Will Always Love You." It is unclear whether she will perform the same song at the upcoming tribute performance.
While many other celebrities have also performed tearful and heartfelt tributes, it was Houston's mother Cissy whose BET awards tribute reduced even some of the biggest names in Hollywood to tears.
The 78-year-old, who has been out of the spotlight since Whitney's untimely death, gave a rousing performance of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" while clutching a white handkerchief. The emotionally charged performance left many in the star-studded audience in tears.
The lyrics to the heartfelt ballad include "When you're weary / Feeling small / When tears are in your eyes / I will dry them all," and Houston's performance received a standing ovation.
A compilation album, "I Will Always Love You - The Best of Whitney Houston," will be released on Nov. 13. The upcoming tribute will air on CBS.
