Whitney Houston's Mother Slams Bobbi Kristina's Engagement as 'Incestuous'

The late Whitney Houston's mother Cissy is reportedly disgusted by her granddaughter Bobbi Kristina's relationship with her adopted brother, Nick Gordon, it has been revealed just one day after news of a rumored engagement.

Cissy, 78, recently told a friend that, "what they're doing is incestuous," after viewing recent pictures of Bobbi Kristina, 19, affectionately kissing Gordon, according to TMZ.

Gordon, 22, is known as Bobbi Kristina's adopted brother because Houston, who died Feb. 8, took him in as a child, though he is not biologically related to Bobbi Kristina.

Cissy is said to be among a growing number of critics who fear that Gordon, who is currently living in Houston's $1.2 million Atlanta townhouse with Bobbi Kristina, is simply taking advantage of the teen's fragile state which has stemmed from the sudden loss of her mother.

"[Bobbi's] taking prescription pills and saying things that make her family feel she's suicidal. Nick is getting her at her most vulnerable. If he really loved her, he'd back off the engagement and just be her friend," a source told Star Magazine.

Cissy, who is the executor for Houston's will, is reportedly in talks with the Whitney Houston Estate to establish what her legal options are to evict Gordon from the "I Will Always Love You" singer's Atlanta townhouse.

As previous reports suggest, Cissy believes that Gordon is nothing but trouble and wants him to stay away from her granddaughter.

"Everyone is worried that Nick is looking to take advantage of Krissy," the source said, with reference to Bobbi Kristina's multimillion-dollar inheritance.

Bobbi Kristina recently inherited Houston's entire estate, including money, furniture, clothing, personal effects, jewelry and cars, according to a 19-page court document obtained by Inside Edition.

The estate is said to be worth at least $20 million, and after news that Gordon secretly proposed last week many critics are growing suspicious of the timeliness of his marriage proposal.

"Nick proposed to Krissy on March 10, and she said yes! Krissy said Nick is the only person she trusts in the world. They have a very deep connection," the source told Star.
