Whitney Houston's 'Never Give Up' Song Released Posthumously (AUDIO)

Whitney Houston's "Never Give Up" song is from her soon-to-be-released album, I Will Always Love You: The Best of Whitney Houston. The song was released to the internet Tuesday, Nov. 6, just one week before the album is due to be posthumously released by RCA Records.

Whitney Houston's "Never Give Up" song speaks about overcoming adversity as a woman "in a man's world." Taking the listener through the story of a single mother, a down-on-her-luck student, and her own personal struggles, Houston's voice over a hip-hop beat encourages to never quit.

"Never never give up / No matter how many times somebody tells you it ain't workin' / Never never give up / Hold ya head to the sky, look 'em right in the eye, tell them you will never quit until the day you get it right," the iconic singer belts out.

The track, which is produced by Brian Cox and Jermaine Dupri, may be unfamiliar to some fans, who are used to Whitney's powerful ballads about love and loss. I Will Always Love You: The Best of Whitney Houston will feature 11 of her Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles, and another yet-to-be-released track, "I Look to You," featuring R&B legend R. Kelly.

A deluxe edition of the album is also scheduled to be released, and it will have 14 additional hits from Houston's illustrious career.

Other tributes to Houston after her untimely death have also happened recently. One of them was "Sparkle," a film starring Houston, "American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks, Mike Epps, and others. The film, released Aug. 17, raked in $24 million at the box office.

Whitney Houston's sudden death occurred earlier this year in February. The singer was found unconscious underwater in a Los Angeles hotel Feb. 11, and after an autopsy, it was determined that she drowned after taking prescription drugs and drinking.

Her funeral had tributes from Kevin Costner, her co-star in "The Bodyguard," R. Kelly, and many others.

The album is due to be released Nov. 13.
