Whitney Houston's 'Secret Son' Nick Breaks His Silence

Whitney Houston's alleged "secret son," Nicholas Gordon, recently took to Twitter to honor the late singer's death.

"Rest in peace. She has always had the most loyal fans and will continue to. Thank you. The Legend will always and forever live on," he tweeted on Sunday morning.

The 22-year-old, who is known as Nick, was taken in by Houston as a child, although it is unclear whether she ever filed adoption papers, according to Radar Online.

The Georgia resident is said to have been treated as if he were Houston's own child, and reportedly had a close bond with her biological daughter 18-year-old Bobbi Kristina.

Family and friends close to Houston are concerned about both Nick and Bobbi, particularly because Bobbi is now allegedly on suicide watch.

Bobbi's 48-year-old mother was found dead in her hotel room bathtub, after reportedly downing a cocktail of drugs and the teen has been unable to cope.

The iconic singer was preparing for Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hills hotel where she was pronounced dead on Saturday, although Bobbi was not permitted to view her mother's body.

Although Bobbi has since been released from hospital, after being admitted for a second time following a "complete nervous breakdown," it is unclear whether Nick has flown to Los Angeles to be by her side.

The pair are known for being inseparable, and Nick grabbed headlines after using a handgun to defend Bobbi during a fight she had with an ex-boyfriend.

Nick was later charged with gun possession, and Bobbi with alcohol possession, though he insisted that he was simply trying to protect his sister.

Houston's body recently arrived in Newark, NJ where she was born and will likely be laid to rest although new information suggests that her 78-year-old mother Cissy is fighting to change burial plans after insisting that Houston would have been happiest being buried in Atlanta.
