Who Does Hollywood Say Jesus Is? Christian Actors, Filmmakers Share Their Experiences
Pop superstar Justin Bieber likewise decided to surround himself with Christian mentors, after having run-ins with police. He went as far as canceling an international tour to focus on getting his life back in order and grow in his faith.
Bieber's regularly been seen attending church and has been actively sharing his Christian faith on social media. During Easter, he wanted his fans to know that the holy day was not about bunnies but instead about his Savior.
"Jesus has changed my life. Easter is not about a bunny, it's a reminder that my Jesus died on the cross for my sins and then rose from the dead, defeating death! I believe this happened and it changed everything! I am set free from bondage and shame. I am a child of the most high God and He loves me exactly where I am, how I am, for who I am," he wrote.
Former Disney star-turned-worldwide pop singer, Selena Gomez, is also a young celebrity who's known for being vocal about her Christian faith. She is among the A-list celebrities who regularly attend Hillsong Church. During a conference last year, the "Wolves" singer opened up about the pressures she's faced due to her fame.
Gomez, who recently overcame a life-threatening battle with lupus, maintained that the stage and her platform were just tools to help her get to her purpose.
"You will learn that your truest identity is loved and chosen, as the chosen daughter of God," of herself during her testimony at Hillsong.
