The manager of a Denver Chipotle has become an online sensation after posing with widened eyes beside Mitt Romney in a photo on Tuesday.

Marty Arps was able to meet the Republican presidential candidate during Romney's unexpected lunch there. The 20-year-old as well as other Chipotle employees posed for a photo with Romney.

While the other employees are smiling at the camera, Arps is seen with wide eyes and pointing at the presidential candidate in the photo.

"It's a facial expression I do when I'm excited," he explained to The Daily. Arps added that he made the same face when he met singer Nicki Minaj.

"It's like, 'Ah it's them, right there in front of you!' They're not from another world,'" Arps continued.

Arps' unusual pose beside the politician has people talking on Twitter, with many users finding humor in the photo.

"It doesn't get much better than this picture of Mitt Romney at Chipotle," posted Funny or Die.

Twitter user Andrew referred to Arps as a "Romney Photobomber," while Boyce joked, "Meet Marty Arps: The Chipotle Employee Who Made a Photo Op with Mitt Romney Kinda Interesting."

According to the photographer behind the lens when the photo was taken, Arps' gesture was meant to be jovial.

"It didn't seem awkward," Charles Dharapak told the Associated Press. "Everyone was having a good time."

While dining at the well-known Mexican restaurant, Romney reportedly ordered a pork burrito with guacamole. It was a break from Romney's preparation for Wednesday's debate with President Obama in Denver. The former Massachusetts governor was joined by his debate training partner, Ohio Sen. Rob Portman.

Although Arps was excited to meet Romney, he said he does not know whom he will vote for in November, and that he is "not too hip to elections and stuff," according to The Daily.
