Windows Phone 7.5 Mango Update Coming in 2 Weeks
Microsoft has confirmed that the Windows Phone 7.5 will be made available to users in just two weeks.
Known simply as “Mango,” the Windows Phone 7.5 (WP7) will come with several additional features to the Microsoft's mobile OS. For instance, the Mango's start up screen will allow users to create personalized live tiles for their friends or groups.
The People Hub application will now feature an all encompassing interface for Facebook, LinkedIn, Outlook, Twitter, and Windows Live Messenger updates.

Other features for the updated phone include a better integration of Microsoft's cloud-storage service, Skydrive. Microsoft Office users will be able to access SkyDrive through the Office hub, and attach Office documents to the Startup screen.
Internet browser support for HTML 5 and hardware-accelerated graphics, as well as YouTube, LastFM, and Slacker integration with Windows Phone's Music + Videos hub, will also be a part of the update.
Microsoft's general manager for customer experience engineering on the company blog, Eric Hautala, had this to say: "For months, we and dozens of our partner companies have been laying the groundwork for the Windows Phone 7.5 update - and making solid progress. As a result, we now expect to start rolling it out in the next week or two. At that time, we’ll also refresh the Where’s My Phone Update? table to reflect the worldwide rollout status."
The Mango update is also set to introduce software updates from handset manufacturers.
"This matched and paired firmware has been painstakingly tuned so your phone - and apps - work with all the new features of Windows Phone 7.5", said Eric Hautala.
Microsoft has advised owners of the phone to avoid an unauthorized tool for downloading two software updates since last April. Hautala said, "Since your phone requires the proper firmware to function as designed, my advice is simple: steer clear of bootleg updates and homebrew tools."
