'Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus' News: Game Download Goes Live on PC, Xbox, and PS4
One of the highly anticipated games set to be released this month was "Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus," and the waiting has now ended as the game launched on Friday.
A few days before the game's release, developers revealed that "Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus" had a file size of around 50 GB. This meant that for a hassle-free download, players were advised to free up about 55 GB of drive space on their gaming platform for the upcoming game.
According to the Xbox Store, players could start downloading the game on Friday, 8 a.m. Meanwhile, both the PlayStation Store and Steam listings for the game had only indicated the release date as Oct. 27 so it is likely the download for "Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus" on the said platforms began as soon as midnight struck on Oct. 27.
The full base game of "Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus" costs $59.99 while the "Wolfenstein II: The Freedom Chronicles" Season Pass is priced $24.99. This pass will give players access to upcoming downloadable contents and expansion packs.
Players can also save some money when they purchase the base game and Season Pass together through the Digital Deluxe Edition for $79.99.
Meanwhile, for PC gamers, it is also important to keep in mind the game's minimum and recommended specs requirements before purchasing.
PC gamers wanting to fight Nazis as BJ Blazkowicz must have at least a CPU powered by an Intel Core i7-3770, an Intel Core i5-3570, an AMD FX-8350 or any chip better than that. The rig must also run with a graphics card within the caliber of the Nvidia GTX 770 4GB, AMD Radeon R9 290 4GB or better. Aside from the 55 GB disk drive space, the game will require an 8 GB random access memory for a stable performance. The game will also run on a Windows 7 operating system or better.
On the other hand, the game will perform at its best with Intel Core i7-4770, AMD FX-9370 or better, plus graphic cards Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB, AMD Radeon RX 470 4GB or something superior. A bump to 16 GB RAM will also ensure a smooth play.
