Woman, 64, Holds Suspect at Gunpoint for Police
Next time you hear a helicopter hovering over your house and sirens in your driveway remember what a woman in Florida had to do to get some shut-eye.
Karen Granville, 64, of Daytona Beach, Fla., helped police arrest 22-year-old Roderick Willis after the suspect led officers on a high speed chase.
Granville told WOFL that she heard a Sheriff's helicopter and sirens while lying in bed at about 3:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. She was startled when she heard someone run past her bedroom window and through her yard.

Granville explained that she then took her pistol and ran outside. Once outside she found the suspect hiding in her backyard. She told deputies that when the suspect saw her she said, "Stop right there [expletive], or you're going to be dead where you stand."
She also told authorities that the suspect had pleaded with her not to shoot him. Granville held Willis at bay until police officials arrived and arrested Willis. Deputies stated that they went after Willis after they noticed Willis' rental car going about 90 mph as they were looking for a stolen vehicle.
The officers then pursued the suspect and he ended up leading them on a two-city chase before leaving the car in Granville's driveway, according to the Daytona Beach News-Journal.
"I was not going to let him go," said Granville. "I just held my gun in my right hand until the police arrested him." Inside the car, deputies say they found cocaine, marijuana, and nearly $2,000.
According to court records the suspect was charged with fleeing and eluding law enforcement, driving with a suspended license, use of a vehicle to commit a felony, possession of marijuana, and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.
He was booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail on Tuesday and released after posting $7,500 bail.
