'Wonder Woman' Gal Gadot to Star in Nazi Thriller 'Ruin'

Gal Gadot is in negotiations to star in the Nazi thriller "Ruin." If finalized, the actress will begin shooting in early 2018, which will fall before her work on the "Wonder Woman" sequel.

"Assassin's Creed" director Justin Kurzel will helm "Ruin." It will focus on a Nazi captain who wants to make amends for his war crimes by hunting and killing his former SS officers.

Gadot's role in "Ruin" is still unclear and the actor playing the Nazi captain has not yet been cast. Rumor has it that "The Dark Knight" star Christian Bale might play the male leading role.

Matthew K. Firpo and Ryan Firpo wrote the screenplay to "Ruin" which studios made bids on last March. MadRiver Pictures won the project and hired Kurzel as director in April.

Gadot achieved box office success and critical praise for her role in "Wonder Woman." She played the character first in "Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice" in 2016.

Since becoming a DC superheroine, Gadot's star power rose, which made her one of the more sought-after Hollywood actresses. Gadot is also in negotiations to star in "Deeper" with Bradley Cooper.

The film from MGM will follow a disgraced astronaut (Cooper) who has been tasked to scour the oceanic trench where he encounters physical and psychological dangers. Gadot's exact role in this movie isn't also specified. Max Landis wrote the script to "Deeper," which Kornel Mundruczo will direct.

Meanwhile, Gadot will soon be seen in theaters reprising her role as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman in the first "Justice League" movie with Ben Affleck (Batman), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Ezra Miller (The Flash), Ray Fisher (Cyborg) and Henry Cavill (Superman).

"The goal of the team is intense - they have to save the world, after all - but the humor that comes into it from all of these characters trying to work together," Gadot said about the ensemble flick. "I believe audiences will really enjoy [the movie]."

"Justice League" will open in theaters on Friday, Nov. 17, in the U.S.
