'Wonder Woman' Plot Detail Rumors: Set in Three Distinct Time Periods?
The standalone "Wonder Woman" movie is still far away but rumors regarding its plot details are surfacing already. It just shows how much the fans of the fictional heroine are excited to catch the movie in the big screen, especially since the character has a fascinating history. So what will happen in the movie?
According to Blastr, the "Wonder Woman" film will be set in three distinct time periods. This is nothing new though as it has already been rumored several times that the movie will be set in the year 1920's. Other rumors say that the first half of the film will be during World War I and then it will make a time jump to the present day.
In an exclusive report by Den of Geek, it revealed that the story of the superhero flick may move through a different time period for each act. The first setting will take place in Themyscira, a fictional lush island nation in the DC Comics universe that is Wonder Woman's place of origin since her adventures started in the 1940's.

The source then reported that the second period will take place during the first World War, particularly in 1916. It will then be followed by the third time era, which is the present day, and is most likely the connecting story that will be told in the upcoming "Justice League Part One" in 2017. Wonder Woman, played by Gal Gadot, will first appear in the 2016 "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie.
Sources also say that since time settings will change thrice, her costume may also change three times for each time period.
Production for the standalone film of the Amazon warrior princess is scheduled to start in November, as reported in Game Spot. It will be directed by Patty Jenkins and Gadot will be joined by Chris Pine in the cast as Steve Trevor, Wonder Woman's primary love interest.
"Wonder Woman" is scheduled for release in 2017.
