'Wonder Woman,' 'Transformers 5' News: Amazonian Superhero To Face The Autobots At The Box Office
On June 23, 2017, the world will witness a colossal battle on Earth as the "Transformers" and "Wonder Woman" are set to clash and prove each other's supremacy---well, at least, at the box-office. Upon the announcement of Paramount Pictures that "Transformers 5" will share the same showing date with Gal Gadot's "Wonder Woman" movie, a great box-office battle becomes inevitable.
Some experts noted that it would be better for "Wonder Woman" to withdraw from the clash, not because the Amazonian warrior princess-turned super hero is going heads on with numerous Autobots, but simply because despite the popularity of Wonder Woman to different generations of fans, its upcoming incarnation in the silver screen is her first. It goes without saying that the "Wonder Woman" movie has yet to prove its worth at the box-office.
Meanwhile, the upcoming "Transformers" franchise installment is already the fifth movie and had a strong showing at the box-office in the past. The last time it hit the big screen via "Transformers: Age of Extinction," it raked in $ 1,104,054,072 for its worldwide gross.

On the part of the "Wonder Woman" movie, it took decades and the call of the fans for a movie version to come into fruition. While the character is set to debut on the silver screen via the already expected blockbuster "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" movie, she is not the highlight of the story. In fact, her appearance will just be a sort of an introduction to her much bigger participation in the "Justice League" movie, which is slated to hit the theaters on Nov. 17, 2017 in the United States.
This early, many people are worried about how the "Wonder Woman" film will fare at the box-office battle. Hence, suggestions to move the premiere of the movie to another date are mounting up. For instance, Jeff Sneider of "The Wrap" opined that it will be better for the movie to be shown one month earlier, preferably on Mother's Day, and "celebrate Wonder Women" everywhere.
Earlier, Warner Bros. made a wise move when it transferred its "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" to an earlier premiere after initially picking a date that will pit it against "Captain America: Civil War."
If it will do the same for "Wonder Woman," the fans can only wait and see.
