'World of Final Fantasy' News: 'Champion Summon: Balthier' To Be Officially Released March 23
'Champion Summon: Balthier' available to download for free for 'World of Final Fantasy' players
"World of Final Fantasy" will add yet another Champion Summon in the form of "Final Fantasy 12's" charming Sky Pirate Balthier.
To be more specific, players can expect Balthier to be officially released for the game as a Champion Summon on March 23. Players also don't need to worry about forking over extra cash just to get Balthier for the game as he will be made available for free.
It is worth noting that the Balthier being added to the game as downloadable content is not exactly similar to the one "Final Fantasy" fans may have known previously.
That's because Balthier has been "chibified" for the role-playing game. Balthier is depicted in Lilikin form inside the game, so his features have been softened, his frame has gotten smaller, and yet the eye-catching outfit and the charm remain, as can be seen in a recently released trailer teasing his arrival.
Once summoned, Balthier uses the "Tides of Fate" attack to help Lann and Reynn defeat their opponents. The attack features Balthier calling upon a huge wall of water that then comes crashing down on his opponents and leaves behind nothing but devastation.
Notably, the "Tides of Fate" attack also serves as Balthier's level 2 Quickening inside "Final Fantasy 12," so fans of that older RPG may recognize it whenever it is used in "World of Final Fantasy."
For players who may have missed it, Sora from the "Kingdom Hearts" franchise was also previously released for the game as a free DLC addition, and those who may not have gotten him from before can still do so now.
Other Champion Summons present in the game include protagonists of earlier "Final Fantasy" installments such as Cloud, Squall, Tidus and Lightning and they are joined by other memorable characters such as Tifa and Yuna.
More news about "World of Final Fantasy" and the other additions that may be released for this RPG should be made available in the near future.
