The worlds largest convention for Christian broadcasters opens officially this Saturday for the 63rd year.
Over 300 companies are expected to attend this years National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) Convention & Exposition.
The annual event is the largest internationally recognized event of its kind and acts as a marketplace for those seeking tools and services to expand their ministries.
NRB President Dr. Frank Wright and Chairman/CEO Ron Harris will open the event with an address to Christian media entities, companies, and ministries about being relevant to todays culture.
More than 40 percent of the U.S. population listens to Christian broadcasting, and millions listen to NRB-affiliated entities. The non-partisan, international association of Christian communicators is comprised of more than 1,400 member organizations representing millions of listeners, viewers and readers.
The vision is to proclaim the Good News, transform the culture through the application of biblical teaching, and preserve religious freedom by keeping the doors of electronic media open for the spread of the Gospel.
In order to remain relevant and on the cutting edge of technology-usage, Christian broadcasters attending the convention will be offered more than 40 Educational Sessions, including media Boot Camps, a Public Policy Super Session.
Organizers place a special emphasis on practical applications in real-world production settings. Daily tech labs offer panel discussions led by noted industry experts.
A showcase is designed to open new avenues of awareness for Christian outreach ministries. Also this year, the ministry will launch a conference, Reach 2006.
