World's First Car Backflip: 360 Degrees, 75 Feet in the Air (VIDEO)

French daredevil Guerlain Chicherit became the first man ever on Sunday to successfully back flip a car a full 360 degrees in the Alps.

For four years, Chicherit plotted how he would manage to successfully backflip a car. It took precise movement and a huge risk but on Sunday, while putting on a show at the French ski resort Tignes, he was a success.

Driving at precisely 37 mph, Chicherit sped toward a 25 foot ramp in a specially built Mini Countryman before going off the edge. The car went 75 feet into the air according to Mail Online before doing a full, 360 degree flip and landing rear wheels first on a specially built snow ramp.

"Before the jump it was crazy. I was alone in the car before the start and I just had to do it, everything was ready," he said according to the Daily Mail. "In the jump, I knew the balance of the car was good and it took me maybe 20 seconds to realize I had landed on my wheels."

Chicherit, 34, is also a professional skier and four times world champion in freeriding. He made his debut at the French Rally Cup in 2003. His advice to others is that sometimes you just have to go for it.

"When you attempt something nobody has ever achieved before, the stress is really high but the only way is to just try it," Chicherit said. "It was sick- I just want to do it again."

The daredevil pulled the trick off for the first time Sunday morning, alone, before attempting it in front of a crowd of people at Monster Energy Drink sponsored event.

"It wasn't the craziest thing I've ever done but for sure it's in the top three," he joked.
