iOS 10 and watchOS Among Major Announcements at Annual Event
The Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) of tech giant Apple is here once again with exciting events lined up beginning Monday until Friday for this time around between June 13th-17th 2016.
Held yearly to introduce latest innovations for the brand, the WWDC presents breakthroughs in technology for Apple and its future offerings to customers. This year things have gotten more interesting with expected highlights like the watchOS 3, a new tvOS version and the iOS 10, Mirror said.

Invitations for the event indicated that the Keynote Speech/Address will start 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET) on Monday at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, San Francisco. iPad, iPhone, Apple TV, Mac and even Windows 10 users can watch the WWDC as it happens via a livestream that will be provided by Apple.
What to expect?
According to Apple senior vice president of worldwide marketing Philip Schiller, the event will bring together developers from all around the globe to experience four operating systems and a brandnew programming language. "WWDC 2016 is going to be a landmark event for developers who are coding in Swift, and building apps and products for iOS, OS X, watchOS and tvOS," Schiller added.
Aside from the expected iOS 10 showcase, Independent noted that the annual gathering will also expand the use of Siri to other applications of an Apple device. This is another development in the personal assistance provided by Siri to Apple users.
The excitement does not end there as the same report claimed that an application to control home products, a low-light viewing mode and a new version of iMessage which will be compatible for Android users are also expected to be introduced.
The Keynote Address & WWDC schedule
Mirror added that the main keynote address of the event is set for Monday at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. All of the sessions which will follow are scheduled at the Moscone West.
From Tuesday to Friday, Apple engineers will be available to share some advice about new introductions made by the brand. One can also learn how to develop great applications for iPhones and other devices through the sessions for the week. Attendees will also be treated with live music on Thursday before the event wraps up Friday.
Those who want to grab tickets for the event will not be able to secure one for themselves at this point since Apple only gave out ticket allocations to people selected via a lottery, PC Advisor said. However, these tickets were not handed for free since those who were chosen had to pay $1,599 for each ticket.
