WWE 2K14 DLC: NWO Pack Causes Data Loss, 2K Releases Temporary Fix
2K Games recently released their NWO and Accelerator DLC for WWE 2K14, and many users who downloaded the pack have been complaining about data loss issues for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
The marketing manager of the game confirmed that the DLC may cause the team settings of Universe Mode to revert back to the default settings, and the developers are working to fix the problems, according to the Examiner.
2K has released a temporary fix for the problem to prevent the glitch from occurring and to help gamers keep their saved progress intact.
As per WWE2K.com, they posted to first download the DLC from the WWE Shop in the game, then exit back to the main menu. Then they said to navigate out of the game completely before returning and playing normally. These steps should allow the player to continue without losing any progress.
The DLC became available on November 12, and featured wrestlers: The Giant (Big Show), Scott Hall (Razor Ramon), Kevin Nash (Diesel), Macho Man Randy Savage, Syxx, Curt Henning (Mr. Perfect), and Scott Steiner.
Hogan is already in the game and the Giant can be downloaded for free. The "Accelerator" portion of the pack will unlock all of the items and customizable attributes.
Rival company to the WWE, WCW, had one of the most popular stables in wrestling history, the New World Order. The group formed in 1996, and featured Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, and Hulk Hogan; all three were WWE defectors.
The NWO helped keep the WWE in second place in the ratings for 84 straight weeks as the group became television's source to be reckoned with.
The DLC is only $9 but can be acquired with the season pass as well. The season pass will run $20 and will include three upcoming expansion packs that will feature new characters, items, and moves.
The game was released on October 29.
