'WWE 2K17' for PS4, Xbox One Release Date and News: Stephanie McMahon Confirms She is Among Playable Characters
It is a family affair for the McMahons in the hit game "WWE 2K17" as Stephanie confirmed on Tuesday in her Twitter account that she will join her father Vincent and brother Shane as playable characters in the upcoming installment of the video game series.
Stephanie's tweet triggers a domino effect for weekly announcements and updates about the game's roster that already confirmed the inclusion of "WWE 2K17" cover Brock Lesnar and Goldberg as a bonus character for pre-orders.
Unlike the previous releases, the McMahon trio are no long set props for the game or stage decorations. Steph confirmed at the WWE website that they are fully playable and can fly to the canvass if needed. The announcement stirred excitement especially that it has been a while since Steph and her father Vince climbed the ring to compete and brawl during actual WWE features.

On the contrary, Shane remains active and even took a 20-foot leap from top of the cage during a Cell Match against The Undertaker in April's Wrestlemania. With the looming "WWE 2K17," gamers expect to relive McMahon's prowess inside the brutal arena.
The first characters revealed for WWE 2K17 were WCW legend Goldberg and the "beast incarnate" Brock Lesnar. Lesnar is the game's cover fighter, so he is expected to be part of the roster. Golderg is serving as a bonus character for the gameplay and the only way to grab him is to pre-order the game. It is also reported that there will be two versions of Goldberg to choose from, based on his WCW and WWE appearances.
Another bonus for pre-ordering the game is the availability of playable arenas which features Halloween Havoc and WCW Monday Nitro. The two scenes are interlinked to Goldberg's career during separate stints.
So far, apart from the McMahons, Goldberg and Brock Lesnar, three other characters are reported to be part of the roster after artist Rob Schamberger displayed a painting during E3 event. John Cena, the legendary Ultimate Warrior and Sasha Banks came as no surprise since the three are included to the list of notable wrestlers ever.
Meanwile, WWE 2K17 is not yet rated by the Review Board but is already confirmed scheduled for worldwide release on October 11. Gamers on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well as older platforms PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 accomodates the game.
