'WWE 2K18' News: MyCareer Mode Will Allow Players to Either Be a 'Company Man' or a 'Fan Favorite'
Different rewards given to players depending on which MyCareer path they take
Modern WWE storylines may not pay that much attention any more to who's the face (good guy) or the heel (bad guy), but those things will still matter significantly in "WWE 2K18's" revamped MyCareer mode.
If a player wants to go down the good guy path, they will then want to become a "Fan Favorite" in the aforementioned game mode.
Detailed in a recent post on the game's official website, "Fan Favorites" are those wrestlers who do not care that much about what people in management think and are instead primarily driven to be the best performers they can possibly be.

Being a "Fan Favorite" means having to consistently show up and deliver whether during a match or even just on the mic. Failure to deliver may lead to a once promising prospect getting buried in obscurity and heading nowhere fast, but if players persevere, they can reap the benefits of being a highly respected wrestler backstage.
Among the bonuses "Fan Favorites" can receive are several that can be useful during matches. Reach the mountaintop as a "Fan Favorite," and there may be a custom world title waiting, which sounds like a pretty cool reward.
If doing all of that seems like too much work, then perhaps players may be more interested in going down the other MyCareer path included in "WWE 2K18," the one for the so-called "Company Man."
As the name of this path implies, being a "Company Man" means following the orders of an authority figure. They can also gain access to some privileges that may make it easier for them to climb up the rankings. The best "Company Men" may even be allowed to interact with none other than WWE CEO and chairman Vince McMahon.
Both MyCareer paths have their distinct benefits, and it is up to wrestling fans to figure out which one works best for them.
"WWE 2K18" will be released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Oct. 17 and for the Nintendo Switch sometime this fall.
