WWE Challenges Beck: Video Goes Viral as Glenn Beck Asked to Appear on Monday Night Raw
The WWE has challenged Glenn Beck after the talk show host criticized the World Wrestling Entertainment by calling those involved "stupid wrestling people."
Beck's comments came as he was speaking on The Blaze, and has resulted in the WWE to challenge Beck to appear on the wrestling show's Monday Night Raw program to explain himself.
Beck had previously accused the WWE of degrading Tea Party advocates by characterizing them as racist, as well as offering a portrayal that was inaccurate and unrealistic. The WWE had introduced a wrestler called Jack Swagger, which had sparked the criticism.

However, since that time the wrestler who plays Jack Swagger was arrested for DUI and has been dropped from current WWE shows.
WWE's Jack Swagger was cast by wrestling organizers as a conservative, tea-party-ish villain with a xenophobic fictional manager, Zeb Coulter.
Swagger had a well-publicized Wrestlemania matchup against Latino star Alberto Del Rio, but Swagger was scripted to rant out against immigrants as he stood in front of yellow flags commonly flown at tea party rallies.
Glenn Beck has said that the WWE's portrayal of Swagger was hugely inaccurate. He rebuked the WWE saying, "I can take it from a lot of people. I can't take it from the stupid wrestling people."
Wayne Keown's character, Zebediah Colter, in return challenged Beck saying that the TV personality was basically calling the 14 million WWE fans stupid. However, at the same time he also explained that 20 percent of WWE's audience was Hispanic.
Colter has said, "We are in the entertainment business. Everything we do as our characters is designed to tell stories. Right now the story we're telling is that Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger are using the current, relevant, and topical story of immigration to target the WWE world champion Alberto Del Rio. Also a character played my my friend Jose Rodriguez. In our story, we are the antagonists, and Alberto is the protagonist."
He also issued a challenge to Beck, saying: "You know, Glenn, many of your followers are WWE fans and they understand the difference between reality and entertainment. Are you so out of touch with your own audience, Glenn, or are you just a stupid political commentator."
Beck has responded to the WWE challenge to appear on its Monday night show, posting on his Twitter account: "Unfortunately I am currently booked doing anything else."
