WWE Latest News: Anonymous uncovers ISIS threat at Survivor Series event

Hacker group Anonymous has recently revealed that ISIS will be launching an attack on the World Wrestling Entertainment's 'Survivor Series' event on Sunday night.

In a report by the International Business Times, Anonymous posted a tweet on Saturday, clarifying that rumors about any ISIS attack did not come from them, adding that they do not know where the reports came from.

"We did not spread any rumors about possible future ISIS attacks, and frankly, we do not know where the rumors come from," the post reads.

In another report by FOX Sports, the Federal Bureau of Investigation promised that the said threats would be taken seriously, adding that they have already taken steps to avoid any form of chaos.

"The FBI is aware of reports of an alleged threat that includes an Atlanta, Georgia venue and event. While we take all threats seriously, we do not have specific or credible information of an attack at this time," the statement reads. "We have, however, made the proper notifications as we continue to work closely with our law enforcement and private sector partners to keep our community safe."

Just last week, ISIS launched a series of terror attacks in Paris, leaving 130 people dead. One of the attacks that was carried out was in a rock concert of American band Eagles of Death Metal at the Bataclan theatre, killing nearly 100 people.

For the WWE's part, despite the fact that the reports have not been confirmed and therefore remain as mere threats, the organization is not taking any chances.

"Federal, state and local law enforcement authorities have confirmed there is no specific or credible information involving a threat against tomorrow's WWE Survivor Series at Philips Arena," said WWE superstar Triple H on Twitter, who is also the VP of Talent/Live Events/Creatives.

"However, WWE and Philips Arena have coordinated with the appropriate agencies and law enforcement, and significantly increased security measures to ensure the safety of all those in attendance, which is our highest priority."
