WWE News 2017: Kurt Angle Impresses in Comeback
Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle has made a triumphant return to the WWE ring after participating in the "TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs" event.
Angle was WWE's replacement for Roman Reigns after the latter was struck down by a virus. Soon after the announcement that Reigns would not be able to join the main event, it was revealed that the Olympian would return in a one-night-only show. According to Mirror, the six-time WWE champion appeared in a black flak jacket when he joined Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in The Shield.
The trio took on Braun Strowman, Kane, The Miz, Sheamus, and Cesaro in a five-on-three face-off. Angle, Ambrose, and Rollins immediately tried to gain the upper hand by using chairs, which culminated with the younger ones leaping off the ladders to sweep Strowman and Kane off the ring. After keeping Miz, Sheamus, and Cesaro in check, Angle was hit by Strowman's running powerslam, prompting the medics to assist him backstage to get treatment.
Many were convinced that Angle was done for the night until he took on Sheamus and Cesaro in a surprise attack. Meanwhile, Ambrose and Rollins took care of Miz and secured the group's win. Fans are then convinced that Angle will be joining more events for the WWE in the future. After his successful comeback, many are looking forward to seeing him in the ring again and witness his moonsaults and other dangerous stunts.
On a different note, according to Bleacher Report, it was revealed that Bray Wyatt, Bo Dallas, and Jojo Offerman were all suffering from the mumps. Previously, rumors started to go around that they had viral meningitis.
Elsewhere, speculations are rife that Nia Jax is leaving Raw after rumors surfaced that she walked out angry. Jax reportedly wanted to fight Asuka at TLC, but the other was paired with Emma.
