WWE Payback 2017 Spoilers: Finn Balor to Take on Roman Reigns?

The Raw-exclusive pay-per-view event, WWE Payback 2017, will open the doors for new feuds as well as tie loose ends. In the case of Roman Reigns, who put the Deadman to rest for good, The Big Dog is out for new blood.

If there is one person to step up to the plate, it is Finn Balor, according to Bleacher Report. Having returned after an injury that sidelined him for a while, Balor is expected to begin his journey to reclaim what he had in the first place.

The Demon King was the first Universal Champion. His reign was cut short after an injury. The publication believes that it is time to plot the course for his recoup in WWE Payback 2017.

What better way to do this than pit him against Reigns. Bleacher Report believes that The Big Dog is finally turning heel following his victory over The Undertaker.

If this will be WWE's next move, a match against Balor is simply what has to follow. It is guaranteed to be a gripping storyline, one that would not even need intense build-up since the two already have history.

On his way to becoming the Universal Champion, Balor defeated Reigns. That alone is expected to set things off in WWE Payback 2017.

Interestingly, there are rumors going around that while Balor will be on WWE Payback 2017, it will be for a shot for the United States Championship belt. This is according to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio.

"I doubt that [Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens] is happening. It could happen, but I think it's gonna end up being Finn Balor. Yeah, I think Finn Balor is wrestling Owens on that show," he claimed.

There is no confirmation yet on that happening in WWE Payback 2017. At the moment, many speculate that Owens and Jericho are not done and that a brutal rematch is on the way.

WWE Payback 2017 will take place on April 30 at 7 p.m. EST.
