WWE WrestleMania 33 Rumors: Shaq Versus Big Show Still Unclear

The World Wrestling Entertainment's (WWE) super event of the year, the WrestleMania 33, could miss its crowning match: The Big Show's last WrestleMania against no less than Shaquille O'Neal.

Shaquille O'Neal is not exactly giving the encouraging news that the avid fans of WrestleMania are looking for. The National Basketball Association (NBA) star is once more muddying the waters on his guest match against wrestling star Big Show. Bleacher Report has just run a new feature about the circumstances that are stopping the cameo match from getting confirmed.

The star basketball center had a recent talk on his own podcast show called "The Big Podcast with Shaq," in which he offered his opinions on the NBA trade of Boogie Cousins to the New Orleans Pelicans. Afterward, he got down to business and broke out some statements about the WrestleMania 33 situation.

As Shaq is asked about rumors and unconfirmed reports that his anticipated showdown with Big Show may not happen, O'Neal offered a non-committal reply: "That's probably right," the NBA All-Star veteran said. Shaq further suggests, ever so slightly, that the problems lie with the WWE and the WrestleMania itself.

"It's not my fault. That's all you need to know" Shaq replied according to Wrestling News.  He was actually planning on starting a training regimen for the match, according to an earlier confirmation in his podcast show. Shaq offered some small consolation of hope — he added that the match is not totally off. He quickly tempered that, however, adding that "it's not looking good."

In any case, whether the match finale for the Big Show will end up being Shaq remains to be seen in the coming days. All these online exchanges can only help fuel the fans' anticipation for the Big Show versus Shaquille O'Neal match.
