'X-Files' Will Return On Jan. 24, 2016 After 13 Years With Creepy Monsters For Mulder & Scully
The trailer of "X-Files" is still scary and spooky, just like its iconic episodes from thirteen years ago. Mulder and Scully once again team up to solve strange cases that lie on the border of the believable and the supernatural as the newest trailer for the "X-Files" 6-part series shows.
Of the two trailers released, one shows shots of different, creepy creatures, less human more monstrous than ever. The other focuses on Mulder and Scully investigating these cases.
There is a shot of a little girl laughing. The girl might represent Mulder's little sister who was lost to aliens as depicted in the previous seasons. Will Mulder's demons come back again to haunt him or has he changed?
After encountering such monstrosities, Scully tells him, "It's dangerous!" to which Mulder retorts laconically, "When has that ever stopped us before?"
Darin Morgan, the man who had written many of the show's less-morbid episodes has returned to write again. He said the main reason to return was to be able to write 'monster stories.' He said, "The artistic reason [to return] was I always had a story that I wanted to tell that was about a monster, but also had a human life story angle. And "The X-Files" is the only place that you can tell that story."
He has written the new episode, "Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster," that dispels the somber mood of the new season.
The names of all six episodes and their air dates have been announced. The first and last episodes have the same title, 'My Struggle.' The episodes from 2-5 are full standalone stories.
More than the monsters, fans of "X-Files" are simply dying to know what has happened between Mulder and Scully all these years. Did they continue to live together? The makers had absolutely no idea that the pair would be such a hit among the masses. Their tense, sombre and dark-witted relationship has rarely been duplicated on television.
The only disappointment for fans of "The X-Files" is that the season is too short and it ends in February.
