'X-Men Apocalypse' Plot News: Fassbender Makes Singer Cry

The upcoming film "X-Men: Apocalypse" is expected to feature an emotional scene for Magneto.

It was reported that director of the movie Bryan Singer shared some details of the upcoming film. He explained that they recently shot a scene with Magneto that struck a chord with him and the actors, which he hoped will make the cut.

Singer explained that they were about to end a scene when Michael Fassbender, who plays Magneto, requested to let him continue the scene when it was over. It was reported that Fassbender continued the scene with something that made Singer cry.

Singer said, "I've never done that before...It's a heartbreaking scene, not a typical comic book movie scene at all, so let's hope it makes the cut. But after he did it, I went up to him, hugged him and said, 'Thank you, Michael, for that gift. Now I need you to do it again.' And he did it...with full emotion."

With that, fans are wondering what the emotional scene might be now that Magneto is one of the Apocalypse Horsemen. Comic book fans are also expecting the film to portray an apocalyptic vibe, which will surely involve a lot of death and destruction.

Because of that, there are speculations that the scene mentioned by Singer will include him dying after he decides to sacrifice himself for the X-Men. However, an alternative theory is that the scene will focus on his relationship with Mystique. This theory brings the idea of Magneto mourning the death of his supposed love interest. Something that Fassbender had said also defended this idea. He said, "He has fallen in love and leaves his metal ways behind him."

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is expected to premiere on May 27, 2016.
