Xbox 720 Release Date: Buy an Xbox 360 Kinect Bundle and Receive $100
RadioShack customers have been alerted to a special deal starting Oct. 24 allowing them to purchase an Xbox 360 Kinect bundle to receive a $100 gift card.
The Xbox 360 4GB console bundle is retailing for $299.99 through RadioShack.
The console comes with the Kinect motion sensor peripheral and the "Kinect Adventures" video game. However, the deal is only available according to the user’s location and proximity to the nearest store. Customers need to check out RadioShack’s online weekly advertisement for more information on qualifying.
Customers can also waive the $100 gift card and buy the entire bundle for $199.99. This RadioShack promotional deal expires in just five days, on Oct. 29.
Current and soon-to-be owners of Microsoft's video gaming system should be wary of a rumored 2013 launch of the next Xbox. Previous reports from Develop, a video game website, hinted that the Xbox 720, Microsoft’s next console, could arrive at the E3 gaming expo in June 2013.
Develop also noted that Microsoft is likely to focus more on the Xbox 360, Kinect and Windows phone for the next two holiday seasons before pushing the next console in 2013.
Cliff Blezsinzki, design director for Epic Games, gave his opinion on Microsoft's next system: "I'm sorry, do you think graphics are good enough? No, they're not! The Xbox 360 is great. We've pushed it further than we ever have with Gears of War 3, but I want Avatar in real-time and beyond. I want fully realistic CG, and are we there? Absolutely not. I think there's absolutely room for improvement."
