Xbox Games With Gold October 2017 Free Games List Includes 'Gone Home,' 'The Turing Test' and More

A new month comes once again, and with it is another set of free games for Xbox Live Gold subscribers. This October, the Games With Gold promo features four titles available at no cost, headed by the critically acclaimed "Gone Home."

The holiday season is nearly here, and a deluge of new game releases are expected to come in that time. Gamers looking to save up for the late-year releases can tide themselves over with four free titles on the Xbox, starting with "Gone Home" on the Xbox One as announced by Major Nelson last Friday, Sep. 27.

"Gone Home" is available all month long for the Xbox One, as players experience the moving story of this first release from FullBright. They will also save $20 in the process, at least for Xbox Live Gold members.

Likewise, Xbox One owners can snag a $20 deal with "The Turing Test," when it becomes free starting Oct. 16. This inventive first-person puzzle game will be available for download at no cost all the way up to Nov. 15 next month.

Both Xbox One and Xbox 360 players can enjoy the "Rayman 3 HD" remaster by Ubisoft, which will be free only until Oct. 15. "Medal of Honor: Airborne" by EA then takes over, going from $20 to zero. The war era first-person shooter comes free to Gold subscribers starting Oct. 16 until the end of the month, as Polygon notes.

Xbox Gold subscribers have until Oct. 15 to grab another indie title for free. "Oxenfree" is carried over from September's Games With Gold for two more weeks of free downloads for the Xbox One.

The video below lists off the free games featured by Microsoft's Game With Gold promo for Xbox live, starting with "Gone Home" for the Xbox One and the backward-compatible "Rayman 3 HD" for the Xbox 360.
