Xbox Games With Gold March 2017 Free Games List News: 'Borderlands 2,' 'Evolution Ultimate Edition' and More
A new month has unfolded, which means Xbox Games with Gold subscribers are bound to get a new set of free games from Microsoft's program and the company appears to have prepared something special for the month of March.
The fun starts with "Evolve Ultimate Edition," which is offered as an Xbox Games with Gold freebie for the Xbox One players, saving them a good $50 for the whole month.
In "Evolve Ultimate Edition," players are implored to choose their side as they "join the hunt with the deepest and most diverse selection of hunters and monsters."
The version included in the Xbox Games with Gold March 2017 lineup comes with The Monster Expansion Pack, Hunting Season 1 and Hunting Season 2.
From March 16 to April 15, Xbox One-rocking Games with Gold members can download for free Bloober Team's psychological horror hit, "Layers of Fear."
In this game, players "delve deep into the mind of an insane painter and discover the secret of his madness" by exploring the "vast and constantly changing Victorian-era mansion."
This Xbox Games with Gold freebie is unique in a way that it features original art to move the story along while changing the look of the surroundings each turn of the camera.
Xbox One players do not get all the fun as Microsoft has also prepared a couple of free games this March for Xbox 360 players.
First one is the high-rated, critically acclaimed action role-playing first-person shooter video game, "Borderlands 2," which will be offered for free to Xbox Games with Gold members during the first half of the month.
The game, which already has a follow-up installment in the works, sees players take on the role of a vault hunter in a battle against "a massive new world of creatures, psychos and the evil mastermind, Handsome Jack."
On March 16 up to 31, Xbox Games with Gold subscribers with their trusty Xbox 360 can grab for free the side-scrolling shoot 'em up "Heavy Weapon," which allows players to attain liberty by taking out the "gigajoules of destructive power."
