Xbox One April 2015 System Update Release Date News: To Be Launched in 2 Waves
Microsoft has announced a two-wave system update for Xbox One that will be released next month, featuring several improvements to the console.
With Xbox One's system update pushed up for an early April release, Microsoft has just announced it will be improving the console's achievement apps and party app in two waves with the second half of the update expected to be announced in the following week.
While the first wave will include minor updates, users will still be able to appreciate improvements to the system, which Microsoft has revealed will be made available to preview program members initially.
Xbox One users will now have access to a troubleshooter for party chat, ensuring their microphones are enabled, and to alert them if their current privacy settings or other network issues, such as a disabled Kinect Chat, are responsible for blocking chat access.
The update will also include description text for achievement notifications to inform users of what they accomplished that caused an achievement to be unlocked. It's update includes a faster speed for achievement notifications, with a shorter hover time on the screen after notifications appear. Users accessing the achievements app will also notice faster access if they launch it from a notification.
The console's game hubs feature will also be linked to the achievements apps in users' feed, making it easier for players to access achievements, screenshots, and video clips.
The first wave of new features for the system update will be made available at the beginning of April to improve Xbox One experience
A successor to the Xbox 360, the Xbox One video game console was released to mixed reviews in November 2013, with a total of one million consoles sold within the first 24 hours of its public release, making it one of Microsoft's best-selling game console for 2014.
