Xbox One Backward Compatibility Update: 'Halo: Reach' Joins 'Fable II,' 'Deus Ex: Human Revolution,' and More
"Halo: Reach" has now joined Microsoft's growing catalog of Xbox One Backward Compatibility games. The title joins 15 other games included in the latest batch of Xbox 360 titles that are now playable on Xbox One.
Microsoft revealed the addition of "Halo: Reach" on Thursday, Dec. 17. It joins "Fable III," "Deus Ex: Human Revolution," "Portal: Still Alive," "Braid," "Doritos Crash Course," "Hydro Thunder," "Iron Brigade," "Kane & Lynch 2," "Motocross Madness," "Ms. Pac-Man," "Peggle," "Spelunky," "Splosion Man," "Ticket to Ride," and "Zuma's Revenge!"
"Halo: Reach" revolves around the Noble Team's defense of a newly discovered planet called Reach. The game follows the events that happened before "Halo: Combat Evolved." The game is a prequel but is the sixth entry in the "Halo" series. The game includes multiplayer features, many modes like Fireflight, abilities like camouflage and jet pack, and customization options.

Xbox One Backward Compatibility was launched last month, with the first batch of 104 games rolling out on Nov. 12. Xbox One players have so far logged in more than 9 million hours playing these games, which include "Fallout 3," "Assassin's Creed," "Gears of War 3," and "DiRT 3."
More games are expected to be added to Xbox One Backward Compatibility's library. Microsoft has stated previously that it is committed to growing its catalog by adding more titles on a regular basis, even urging Xbox One owners to put in their votes at Xbox.UserVoice.com.
Through Xbox One Backward Compatibility, Xbox One owners can start or continue playing Xbox 360 games. All their progress and achievements from the previous-generation console will be carried over to the Xbox One. Xbox One Backward Compatibility also allows players to record, stream, take screenshots, and play with their Xbox 360 friends.
"Halo: Reach" and all other titles in Microsoft's Xbox One Backward Compatibility can be availed through Games with Gold.
