Xbox One Backwards Compatibility News and Updates: Three New Titles Announced; Includes 'Puzzle Quest' and 'Sonic' Games
Microsoft has added three new titles to the list of backwards compatible games with the Xbox One. With this news, fans will be delighted to see that they can now play their favorite games in the latest console version.

The Xbox gaming console is no doubt one of the widest and most successful gaming environments currently available in the market. With the release of the Xbox One back in 2013, the gaming world has shifted its gears toward the virtual world, jumping from the older, yet still capable, Xbox 360. However, as mighty as all the specs and capabilities of the Xbox One are, there was a small caveat. It had no native support for backward compatibility.

It was only in 2015 that Microsoft announced an update for the Xbox One that will allow it to support certain games that are playable in the Xbox 360. A year later, the latest gaming console now supports over 250 backwards compatible games. Just last week, the tech giant announced three new games to be added on the list.
Three New Backwards Compatible Games
Xbox Live Director of Programming Larry Hryb took it into his Twitter account to release the three new backwards compatible games.

As stated in the tweet, two "Puzzle Quest" games will be added to the list of Xbox One backwards compatible games. The first of the two is the "Puzzle Quest: Galactrix." It was initially launched way back in 2009 to different platforms, including the PC, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Network service, Xbox Live Arcade, and of course, the Xbox 360.
The second title is aptly the "Puzzle Quest 2." The game was originally released back in 2010, and was a sequel to the "Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords" released in 2007. It was released to the Nintendo DS, Xbox Live Arcade, Xbox 360, PC, iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile. The game was received well by the public, with praises for its highly improved and addictive gameplay.
The last game to be announced was the kart racing game "Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed." This title was released by Sega and Sumo Digital back in 2012. It was the sequel of "Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing," and is considered the fourth game in the "Sega Superstars" franchise. It is also the eighth overall racing game in the "Sonic the Hedgehog" video game series. "Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed" is also the ninth "Sonic" title to be granted backwards compatibility for the Xbox One.
