Xbox One Free Games: Free Play for 14 EA Titles for a Limited Time
Microsoft and Electronic Arts have partnered to bring Xbox One owners more than a dozen games to play with for free for a limited time.
In separate announcements, the two companies revealed the details of EA Access Free Play Days. The promotion is exclusively available to members of Microsoft's Xbox Live Gold program. The limited time trial is valid for six days starting on Jan. 19 and ending on Jan. 24.
Interested Xbox Live Gold members need to download the EA Access Hub App from the Gold Member area of their dashboard. Once the app is set up, they will be able to access the EA Access Vault during the entire week of the promo period.
The EA Access Vault holds a total of 14 EA games. These are as follows:
- "Dragon Age: Inquisition"
- "Titanfall"
- "Battlefield 4"
- "Battlefield Hardline"
- "Plants Vs. Zombies Garden Warfare"
- "Need for Speed Rivals"
- "EA Sports UFC"
- "FIFA 14"
- "FIFA 15"
- "Madden 14"
- "Madden 25"
- "NHL 15"
- "NBA LIVE 15"
- "Peggle 2"
All 14 titles will be playable during the promo week. Those availing of the promotion will be playing with full games and not demo versions of these games so all gamerscore, achievements, and game progress will be saved and carried over, should a player decide to continue accessing the EA Vault.
The EA Vault is normally accessible through membership in EA Access, which costs $4.99 per month or $29.99 for 12 months or one year. In addition to EA Vault access, EA Access members will be able to play new EA titles early for a limited time in a "try before you buy" scheme and get 10 percent discount on all EA digital purchases on the Xbox One. Upcoming EA titles include "Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2," "Unravel," "EA Sports UFC 2," "Mirror's Edge Catalyst," and more.
Again, the EA Access Free Play Days is available for all Xbox Live Gold members and runs from Jan. 19 to 24.
