Xbox One News: 'Dark Souls' Out on Xbox One Soon

There is another piece of good news for Xbox players as its Xbox One Backward Compatibility has announced that "Dark Souls" can soon be played on the device, too.

Express reported that Microsoft has confirmed this news as it has revealed its pre-order details for the Dark Souls 3 recently. It also disclosed several options for fans to choose from, in the event that they decide to go for the Season Pass apart from the free Backward Compatibility copy.

Larry Hryb, also known as "Major Nelson" and Microsoft's Director for Programming, posted on his official website:

"Dark Souls III continues to push the boundaries with the latest, ambitious chapter in the critically-acclaimed and genre-defining series… Fans and newcomers alike will get lost in the game hallmark rewarding gameplay and immersive graphics. Now only embers remain…Prepare yourself once more and Embrace The Darkness!"

The message on Hryb's "Major Nelson" site also revealed that gamers can avail themselves of an original Dark Souls for Xbox 360 or Xbox One later via Backward Compatibility, should they place a digital pre-order of Dark Souls III on the Xbox One Store. The offer is for a limited time only.

Dark Souls III for PS4, Xbox One, and PC are scheduled for release in U.K. on April 12.

Meanwhile, International Business Times reported that Xbox Live is experiencing some issues after players of its "Galaga" game complained of compatibility issues with Xbox One.

Galaga, which is the latest Xbox 360 game to come to Xbox One via Xbox's Backwards Compatibility, was only released early this week.

The problems were discovered after users had started complaining about difficulties in signing in on both Xbox One and Xbox 360. Thankfully, the issue was eventually addressed.

Meanwhile, the company assured its clients that they are doing everything to resolve other issues associated with "Galaga" the soonest time possible. It has offered a texting service that will inform gamers once the problems from the game have been fully resolved.
