Xbox Scorpio Release Date, News: Console Won't Be Microsoft's Last
The Xbox Scorpio will not see the light of day until the holidays, but there are already tons of talks about Microsoft's next-generation console, such as the device being the final one from the company.
With a simple "no," Xbox head Phil Spencer confirmed on Twitter that the highly anticipated Xbox Scorpio will not be the last console from the company.
Xbox and Windows vice president Mike Ybarra also added some insights, saying that with a "lot of innovation still to be realized," the Xbox Scorpio could not possibly be the last from Microsoft.

The reports about the Xbox Scorpio being the final console offering from the Redmond giant are not entirely surprising seeing the impressive makings of the machine.
On paper, the next-gen Xbox console is more powerful than its rival, the PlayStation 4 Pro (PS4 Pro). The complete details on the specifications and features are yet to be revealed though.
Artomatix CTO Eric Risser put his two cents on what the gaming world look like with both the Xbox Scorpio and the PS4 Pro both available.
"Personally, I don't think of the Pro as an upgrade, I think of it as the 'Virtual Reality edition' of the PS4," Risser said via Gamingbolt.
"While the Scorpio specs aren't released yet, I suspect they'll follow the same trend as the PS4 ... they'll at least double the compute cores so you can play Xbox in VR," he went on to say.
With regard to the Xbox Scorpio getting the exclusives and the possibility of its excess power going down the drain in some games, here is what Frozenbyte developer Kai Tuovinen said in an interview with Gamingbolt.
"I'm sure there are developers that have games they would love to be Scorpio exclusives because it will be easier to get them to run, but at the same time the main install base will be on the standard Xbox One, so developers would have to make a difficult choice either way," Kai said.
"I still think Scorpio will be a good purchase or upgrade for a lot of consumers if they are looking to play at a bigger resolution for example."
The Xbox Scorpio is slated to come out by the end of the year.
