Xbox Store Countdown Sale Is Here: 40 to 70% Off on Digital Games and More Starts This Week
Those who have been waiting and looking forward to Microsoft's Countdown Sale have only a couple of days left to wait. Starting Tuesday, Dec. 22, gamers can purchase games with 40 to 70 percent discount.
The Countdown Sale is touted by the company as its "biggest digital game sale of the year for the Xbox Store" available for both Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners. Customers are in for a treat as the big digital game sale offers more than 200 daily and weekly deals on not just games but also movies, TV shows, and apps.
Discounts range from 40 to 60 percent off for regular buyers, plus an additional 10 percent discount for members of Microsoft's Xbox Live Gold program. Members of Xbox Live Rewards can also use their rewards credit to get these games, videos, and TV shows.
Microsoft has teased the following game titles as part of the sale's games lineup: "Call of Duty: Black Ops III," "Assassin's Creed Syndicate," "Fallout 4," "Halo 5: Guardians," "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition," "Rise of the Tomb Raider," "Forza Motorsport 6," and "Rare Replay." There will also be discounts on more than 10 Backward Compatibility games.
Deals on movies and TV shows include "Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation," "Mad Max: Fury Road," "Kingsman: The Secret Service," and seasons 1 to 5 of "Archer."
There will also be apps offering exclusive one-month free trials, including CBS All Access, Crunchyroll, and Sling TV.
In addition to its Countdown Sale, Microsoft is also running a promotion for its Xbox One consoles. Starting at $299, Xbox One Limited Edition Halo 5: Guardians Bundle, Xbox One Elite Bundle, Xbox One 1 TB Holiday Bundle, and more are discounted by $50 each. This promotion is ongoing and ends the day after Christmas day, on Dec. 26, or until supplies last.
Microsoft's Countdown Sale will last for 17 days, starting Dec. 22 until Jan. 7.
