'Xenoblade Chronicles 2' News: Different Countries, Titans Detailed in New Trailer
Environments will vary from one Titan to another
There is a massive and mysterious world named Alrest waiting for players inside "Xenoblade Chronicles 2," and it is far from an empty one.
Inhabiting this mysterious planet are numerous countries and even the beings known as Titans.
Beginning with the Titans, there are different kinds of them that are present in the game.
Some of the Titans are large, but not overly so, such as Azurda who is the one that protagonist Rex calls home. Azurda is just big enough to serve as home for Rex as can be seen in the trailer below, though this mystical creature appears to have some interesting stories to tell.
Once players leave the comfortable confines of Azurda, they will find other Titans, including some that appear to be big continents.
Resting upon these Titans are living and breathing ecosystems that vary significantly from one to the next. In the trailer above, Rex and his friends were featured going through fields, caverns and they were even shown swimming in a body of water.
There are also monsters living on these Titans that "Xenoblade Chronicles 2" players may have to deal with in battles.
It is not just monsters that players have to worry about.
Alrest is also home to some countries, with each one motivated by their own goals and adhering to different values.
The Kingdom of Uraya is home to residents who respect nature immensely, while many of the people of Mor Ardain rely heavily on machines. Also operating under the Empire of Mor Ardain is the Imperial Province of Gormott.
Players can also pay a visit to the Indoline Praetorium and find individuals there who worship the Titans, while the members of the Argentum Trade Guild are focused on their businesses.
Lastly, there is Torna, though it is unclear what goals are being pursued by leaders of this nation.
The entire world of Alrest will be made available for players to explore as soon as "Xenoblade Chronicles 2" is released on Dec. 1 for the Nintendo Switch.
