'Xenoblade Chronicles 2' News: Getting to Know the Different Antagonists Included in the Game
Jin and Malos of the Torna organization are expected to be the game's main villains
Over the course of journeying through the immense and mysterious world contained within "Xenoblade Chronicles 2," players will eventually run into enemies determined to stop them from accomplishing their goals.
All kinds of enemies are going to be gunning for protagonists Rex, Pyra and their other companions. And among the most powerful of these foes are members of the secretive organization known as Torna.
A new trailer released by the developers introduces viewers to Jin and Malos, the higher-ups of the Torna organization.
Beginning with Jin, this masked individual is the leader of the clandestine organization. The trailer showed him brandishing an impressive-looking sword and radiating an aura of invincibility.
Players will run into Jin very early on in the game. In the trailer, Rex was unable to even defend himself against an attacking Jin and the latter left the former to die.
That initial encounter figures to be the first of many, and "Xenoblade Chronicles 2" players should be able to find out more about the man behind the mask as they continue to make progress inside the game.
Malos is the second-in-command of the Torna organization. Developers have described him as a "dangerous foe," and he certainly looked that way with a glowing sword in his hand.
Aside from Jin and Malos, the trailer showed that players will also encounter an individual named Akhos, who serves as the brains of the organization.
Players will also be dealing with enemies who are not known to be members of the Torna organization.
Morag and Brighid are both connected to the Empire of Mor Ardain, and the two of them also look like difficult enemies to deal with in battle.
One more foe shown in the video is the mercenary Vandham. Given his occupation, it is possible that he was hired to go after Rex and his friends or he may also just be acting on his own.
Those were just some of the enemies expected to be featured in the game's storyline, and there may be even more who players will meet once they begin their playthroughs.
"Xenoblade Chronicles 2" will be released for the Nintendo Switch on Dec. 1.
