'Xenoblade Chronicles 2' News: World and Town Exploration Shown in New Gameplay Video
Players can find Collection Points while exploring the game
The sheer size of the world included inside "Xenoblade Chronicles 2" can make even the simple act of exploring seem daunting.
For prospective players who want a better idea of what they may be in for, a new video published by GameXplain might be what they need.
The start of the video showed Rex and his friends initiating a battle. This ability will come in handy as players do some exploring. Initiating a battle will provide players with a bit of an advantage. And since they will spend a lot of time out in the world, any little bit of help can make things more manageable.
A little later on in the video, viewers are shown what can happen when they are not the ones who start a fight. If, over the course of exploring, players just happen to run into a particularly aggressive monster, they will be attacked. They will then have the option of either fighting the monster who attacked them or to flee.
Going by what was shown in the video, it seems like players will be able to quickly get away from an opponent if they jump off a ledge or something else that is elevated. Doing so will hurt them, however, so they need to make sure that their health bars are full before they attempt this escape maneuver.
While exploring inside "Xenoblade Chronicles 2," players can also expect to stumble upon some Collection Points. They will want to keep their eyes peeled for Collection Points at all times as these will yield valuable items.
Once inside a town, players are going to want to look all over the place for treasure troves that provide items and even some gold.
There are also different people living in towns that players may want to spend some time talking to if they get the chance.
Players will be allowed to set foot inside the world of Alrest as soon as "Xenoblade Chronicles 2" is released for the Nintendo Switch on Dec. 1.
