Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Release Date, Specs Rumors: Leaked Images Hint That Cherry Pink Variant Is On Its Way

Leaked images of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 hint that the phablet device might gain a new variant. Currently, the phablet comes in black, silver and gold color options, but the recent leaks reveal that pink might actually be joining the mix.

A Weibo user named Zheng Shaoyou Janice leaked the images via MyDrivers.com. The leaked images show a Xiaomi Note 2 that comes in a cherry pink color. While some tech enthusiasts were thrilled with the possibility of a pink phablet, there is still a possibility that the leaked images are not true.

As of now, Xiaomi has not yet released any statement as to the veracity of the leaked images. In case the pink variant is true, then it would definitely be something to look forward to, especially for those who put a high premium on the color of their phablet like the female demographic.

Assuming that the pink variant is true, then it will certainly make its way to the Chinese market. However, it remains to be seen if it will also be available in other regions like other Asian countries, the United States and Europe.

The alleged pink phablet is expected to have the same features as the black, silver and gold variants. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 features a 5.7-inch dual-curved screen and sports 4 GB of random-access memory (RAM), 64 GB of internal storage and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset. It also comes with a 23-megapixel (MP) main camera, an 8 MP front camera and a 4,070 mAh battery.

Currently, the other three variants of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 are already available on the market for $404 but are often out of stock. If the pink variant is really coming out soon, it is speculated that availability will still be an issue especially considering the hype it has created among female buyers.
