Xiaomi Mi TV 3S Launched, Comes With Two Variants
Chinese electronics company Xiaomi has turned its spotlight again to a non-smartphone product by introducing to the public its first curved TV. According to The Indian Express, the tech firm launched Mi TV 3S in a media conference in Beijing, China on Wednesday. It is the latest addition to the company's already growing TV lineup.
Hugo Barra, Xiaomi global VP, also posted about the new TV on his Facebook account, unveiling that it comes with a 4K 65-inch curved Samsung display for superior optics. There's also another variant available which features a flat pane 43-inch FHD TV smaller. However, the 43-inch variant does not come with the 4K resolution. Gadgets 360 noted that it has a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and has 10.9mm ultra-thin metal body and frame.
The 65-inch Mi TV 3s is found out to be 5.9mm thin, which is actually thinner than the Mi Note whose dimension is 6.95mm. As for its other specs, The Times of India specified that the 65-inch variant is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad core Mstar 6A928 processor paired with 2 GB of RAM. It also contains an internal storage of 8 GB. Aside from that, it is detailed that the television provides support for Dolby and DTS audio dual decoding. There's also a Mi TV bar which carries the independent 6-piece sound system.
On the other hand, the 43-inch Mi TV 3S variant comes with an Mstar 6A908 processor, 1 GB of RAM, and 8 GB of internal storage. It also give support for Dolby DTS audio dual decoding. Tech PP also reported that the flat model is sourced from LG. Both of the variants are pre-installed with Android MIUI and both flaunts a 176-degree viewing angle.
Connectivity options for both models include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, 3X HDMI, USB ports, Analog TV port and Ethernet. The Xiaomi Mi TV 63-inch curved 4K TV has a price tag of $1380 while the 43-inch flat FHD TV has a price tag of $276. Both of the new televisions are expected to be available by the end of March.
