Xiaomi Mi5 Photo Leaks on the Web
A couple of images of a new smartphone is said to be the prototype of Xiaomi Mi5.
Four images were acquired by GSM Arena featuring the new Xiaomi Mi5 running on the AnTuTu 4 benchmark. The results gave a preview on the power of the said device.
According to the screen info projected in the pictures, the new Xiaomi Mi 5 will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, not on the rumored higher Snapdragoin 805 or 810. It will also have a 2GB RAM instead of 3GB.
It is approximately a 5-inch display with a competitive resolution of 2560 x 1140 px. There are no details on the camera capacities yet.
So far, it is placed fifth on AnTuTu's list. Even though the hardware could be considered "disappointing," it still ranked pretty high on international standards.
With regard to the launch date, Xiaomi just announced a new flagship device to be launched tomorrow, Jan. 15. They also posted a teaser photo with caption, "As (black) as paper."
Another leaked photo includes caption saying, "(blank) is better than one."

Xiaomi's unveiling will happen on Beijing tomorrow at 1 a.m. EST.
Xiaomi is currently in competition with other Chinese developers vying for the thinnest and most efficient phone in the world. Oppo took this spot for the Oppo R5. Then, it was immediately replaced by the Vivo X5 Max. So far, fans are expecting Xiaomi to take this spot after the unveiling event.
