Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro Release Date Tipped For November

Those who have been waiting for Xiaomi's upcoming Redmi Note 2 Pro will be delighted to know that the device may be coming very soon. According to NDTV Gadgets, the smartphone may be arriving as soon as Nov. 24.

The speculation of the unveiling day of the device was based on the teaser image released in the company's Weibo account. It showed a photo with Chinese writings on it which is translated in English as "Grand Finale." The date of the November event is found at the bottom. However, it did not detail which mobile phone it will launch but several people believe it's going to be the Redmi Note 2 Pro.

If it's true, the long rumored device will finally reveal its specs and features. Early leaks from TENAA and other rumors suggested that the Redmi Note 2 Pro will come with almost the same specs sheet as Redmi Note 2. Tech 2 noted the difference is that the upgraded version is expected to have a metal build and a fingerprint ID scanner.

It is also said to sport a 5.5-inch Full HD screen with a resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels. Under its hood, one will be able to find a MediaTek MT6795 Helio X10 chipset with an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz . It will be equipped with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory storage. Aside from that, the handset will feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. The LED flash and fingerprint scanner are found under the rear camera.

It will run with Android 5.0.1 Lollipop out of the box and will be powered with 3060mAh battery. The Tech 2 source also revealed two variants of the smartphone. One will have the 2 GB of RAM while the other will have a bigger count which is 3 GB of RAM.

Phone Arena detailed that the lesser RAM version of the Redmi Note 2 Pro will cost $172 while the higher RAM model will cost more.
