Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Vs Meizu M2 Note Vs Lenovo K3 Note 3: Budget Phone Battle

With the newly launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 flying out of retailer shelves quickly in China because of its record sales, the phone will now be going head to head with other budget phones, like the Lenovo K3 Note and the Meizu M2 Note in the Indian market.

Breaking records with 800,000 units sold in China within 12 hours, the recently released Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is making a considerable dent in the budget phone market. It will soon be launched in India, where it will be competing with the Lenovo K3 Note and the Meizu M2 Note, where it will have to battle it out for the market share.

In terms of display, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 has a 5.5-inch 1080 x 1920-pixel display, a feature it shares with the Lenovo K3 Note and the Meizu M2 Note.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 scores in the processor department with its MediaTek MT6795 CPU over the Lenovo K3 Note's MediaTek MT6752 and the Meizy M2 Note's MediaTek6753.

The Meizu M2 Note wins the storage war, however, with 2GB of RAM and 16/32GB of internal memory that's expandable up to 128GB through its microSD slot. Meanwhile the Lenovo K3 Note sports 2GB of RAM with a 16GB internal storage, expandable up to 32GB, followed by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2.

All three handsets share equal footing in the camera game, with their 13MP rear cameras and 5MP front shooters.

Powered by a 3,100mAh battery, the Meizu Note pulls ahead of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2's 3,060mAh and the Lenovo K3 Note's 3,000mAh batteries.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 has a $125 price tag (RMB 799 / RS 8,090 / €112) for its 16GB model, and $140 (RMB 899 / RS 9,100 / €126) for its 16GB variant, while the Lenovo K3 Note and Meizu M2 Note cost $154 ( 981 / RS9,999 / €98) in India. It was launched in August of this year.
